Singapore MAS launches 2008 Year of Rat Chinese Almanac coins
The Monetary Authority of Singapore has launched the 2008 Year of the Rat Almanac coins.The image of the rat on the coin is integrated with ancient Chinese seal characters in a design that MAS says combines tradition with modernity.
The design also incorporates a peony which is a symbol of blessing and festive cheer.
